Anna Casey is a communications professional in Washington, D.C. with over a decade of experience working in local and national news.

Her reporting focuses on the intersection of health, policy and the environment. Originally from Tulsa, Anna received an M.A. in Journalism at University of Texas at Austin before working as a producer for The 21st, an award-winning statewide talk show from Illinois Public Media. A producer job at NPR and WAMU’s 1A brought her to D.C., and she now works as external communications manager for the nonprofit Amazon Conservation Team, telling stories of Indigenous and local communities protecting ecosystems across Central and South America.
